I love the nuance of language. Here’s a simple example of how a subtle change between 2 similar words can create a shift in mindset.
Failure vs failing – failure sounds finite…like that’s it. It’s permanent. You’ve accepted you’re at the end of the journey, Much more of a closed mindset.
Failing on the other hand feels much more like a work in progress, being on a path to somewhere. It’s temporary, an opportunity to learn and grow. Much more of a growth mindset.
Everyone fails sometimes, but not everyone is a failure.
